A warm welcome to the church of Holy Trinity and St Mary, Berwick-upon-Tweed
We are the parish church of Berwick- upon-Tweed, dedicated to the Holy Trinity and St Mary. The building is a rare example of a parish church built during Oliver Cromwell’s Commonwealth. Consequently it has no tower, spire or bells and has a lively story to tell in this borderland between England and Scotland.
Berwick Parish Church is an active, living Church which is open to all, welcomes all and has its ministry rooted in serving the local community and the many visitors who come to explore this very special part of the world.
We are pleased to be able to say that we are now able to celebrate our Parish Eucharist on Sundays and Thursdays in church at 10.00am as well as online. There is also a service of Holy Communion in church on Sundays at 8.30am. The 8.30am service on Sundays and the 10.00am service on Thursdays follow the Book of Common Prayer.
The church is open daily for private prayer between 8.30am and 5.00pm.
