Children are welcome at Berwick Parish Church.

'Let the little children come to me and do not stop them.'

Luke 18:16

Noah and his grandad
We believe that children and young people can follow Jesus and be full members of the church, and that discipleship is possible at any age. They are integral to our church family, and we want them to feel as valued as anyone else.

Our aim is to help children grow to their fullest potential in Christ through knowing God and understanding his teachings so that they can respond in faith through having a personal relationship with Jesus.

How does that happen? We think it’s important to journey together and build relationships with each other. We spend time having fun, learning, listening, discovering, eating, sharing thoughts and asking questions.

Our children's ministry

Our children’s ministry takes many forms including Sunday groups, local schools visits and baptism.

On the second Sunday every month the Sparklers group meets during 10am Parish Eucharist.

Schools in our parish

We love supporting our local community and visiting schools in our parish
We are lucky to have two church schools in the parish: Holy Trinity C of E First School, and St Mary’s C of E First School. The clergy are regular visitors to the schools and we always enjoy the events and services the children put on in church. Have a look at their websites and find out what they’ve been getting up to!

Both schools have lots of great ideas and information about what they’re getting up to on their Facebook pages:
