Dennis’s last Sunday

After nine years service to the parish, Dennis will be retiring on 1st August.   Sunday 9th July was his last Sunday, and this was marked by a reception in the Guildhall on the Saturday, attended by local dignatories, church members, and representatives of the many whose lives Dennis’s ministry has touched.

After his last service – which can be seen on our YouTube channel – he and Catherine were presented with gifts by his well-wishers, including a garden bench, whisky, perfume and flowers.   Nearly 150 members of the congregation were present, most of whom stayed for the lunch and champagne reception afterwards to thank Dennis and Catherine for their wonderful contribution and to wish them well as Dennis retires.
