06 Nov Daily Hope Phone Line
“With many in our country on lockdown, it’s important that we support those who are feeling lonely and isolated, whatever age they are.”
Archbishop Justin Welby
During this time of the Corona pandemic many people are really valuing the opportunities social media and the internet are giving to enable interaction with others, and to help worship continue, albeit in a different format to usual.
However lots of people do not have access to the internet, and are feeling particularly isolated and lonely at this time. With such people particularly in mind, the Church of England has launched a free national phone line which offers music, reflections, prayers and worship services to those who are unable to join online service during the current crisis.
The line is available 24 hours a day. Callers will hear a message from the Archbishop of Canterbury before being asked to choose from a range of options, including hymns, prayers, reflections and advice on Covid-19.
We wanted to make you aware of this service, and would also ask you to let other people know about it, if you feel it is something they would like to use.
The service is called Daily Hope, and the free phone line is: 0800 804 8044
