Water Aid

The Alms Group and our Treasurer would like to say a big THANK YOU to everyone that contributed to the jam jar appeal supporting WaterAid.

£450, including Gift Aid, was made to help this great charity. WaterAid has teams in 37 countries across the world, working with partners to transform millions of lives every year. They improve access to safe water, toilets and hygiene. Since 1981, they have reached 23 million people.

Across the world, women are forced to walk long distances to collect dirty water.  

Girls are dropping out of school because there are no private toilets. 

Young children are not surviving to see their fifth birthday because of preventable diseases.
